"Attraper au Vol" (Catch in the Air) is a photographic work produced by the famous photographer and director of French skateboarding films Fred Mortagne, also called French Fred.
This photographic work represents the summit of several years of work of Fred (2000-2015), offering an extraordinary perspective on life. Its intentional compositions, rich in lines and angles, install skaters in context, offering an abstract vision of architecture and geometry.
His work fascinates skatefully and those who do not, reducing the mystery of contemporary life just enough to reveal what he hides.
Fred's fluid style refers to the aesthetic splendor of skateboarding and urban heritage rather than a pure performance, although the raw talent of its participants is clearly noticeable. In a splendid rigid cover book, catching on the flight reveals Fred's distinctive style thanks to sets, characters and places. This collection of images, made simultaneously on film and in 35 mm digital format, is a real artistic creation.
Fred's images will be accompanied by a presentation of the worldly recognized photographer Anton Corbijn and an analysis by Geoff Rowley, one of the largest skaters in the world, with whom Fred is frequently collaborated.
