The Reebok company or Reebok International Limited was first founded under the name J. W. Foster and Sons in 1895 in Bolton, England. At that time, Joseph William Foster, its founder, was one of the first to design athletic shoes with spikes: he thus made Reebok an innovative sports equipment manufacturer, to the delight of demanding athletes.
